mood: tired

2nd day and it's still raining..
and i just brought one jacket.
good job, sel.
we're home early tonight..and less tired than we were yesterday.
we did some bargain shopping!
ate mae & i are far from completing our mental checklist tough, but we still have a few days..
..say, 5?
it's our first time to ride a cabbie here in singapore, and it was quite an experience..
because we are a group of 8, we had to take 2..
Emer instructed me to tell the driver to just follow theirs, so i nodded in agreement.
i got in, did as i was told..
and with a chinese accent the old man replied:
"i can't drive fast.."
fine.
so we were there, chatting in tagalog..and the whole time i was wondering..
"what is this old man thinking, with 4 passengers on board, talking in a language he barely, if not never understands..?"
then i said to myself: "what a wonderful world.." hehehe
okay..the meter's running..i know we are getting there..
fyi. traffic is just a word here.it ceases to exist.
once again, the old man turned to me and asked: "where to?"
with enough confidence i responded, "Jurong West 81.."
apparently, we already are, in Jurong West.
"do you know the building number..?"
i needed help. i turned to my mom..
who immediately turned to her sister--
who sought help from her daughter--
and in unison we answered, "we don't know.."
great.good job.
good thing buliding rapport is just one of my mom's talents.
racking our brains with eyes shut, we remembered passing by a school each time we'd go to the bus stop..
good thing the old man's brain hasn't gone gray with his hair.
after a moment of truth..there was the cab which my cousins took.
what a lovely sight.
